Erm... stuff?
I met someone! At a coffee shop, last week. Saw him there again today, and we chatted. Then we went and walked around downtown. He's pretty cool. It's weird, normally I'd be attracted to him - he's got dark hair and glasses and he's sort of indie and sweet and amusing - but I'm just not into it. I do, however, like hanging out with him. So I might be making a friend? Which would be really nice, because I don't know many people in Asheville anymore.
Well, no, I KNOW people - today I saw two people I recognized and have spoken to once or twice, and someone I hung out with in high school, and that was just in 1 or 1.4 hours downtown. Tw3o were at the same grocery store. BUT I don't have anyone to hang out with.
We might be going to see "The Dark Knight" tomorrow with some people he knows. We also mutually chose some movies at the video store today... so in the next few days I might be seeing "Control," "Eagle vs. Shark," and/or some episodes of old school Doctor Who - the one with the scarf. Yeah, that video store pretty much ROCKS.

Um, what else. My hair cut went well - I just got about 3 inches cut off, nothing fancy - I just wanted to get it back to looking healthy. I really, really liked the stylist, and definitely want to keep going back to her. she was really fun, and she did a good job.

I should go to bed. I've been feeling really out of sorts the last few days, just tired and bored and hormonal. Sleep would be very good, but I'm not tired... boo.

Also. I am developing an interest in Stephen Fry that I feel will likely blossom into a full-blown obsession. Be warned.

AND! I'm going to see Conor Oberst (of Bright Eyes) in Chapel Hill in a few weeks!
AND Old 97's here next Thursday. General music joy abounds!

I finished my iPod bag, for real now, and I also made a hat over yesterday and today. It's really cute, if I do say so myself. It has loopy fringe. However, it's small, circumference-wise (I pull my stitches really tight, and need to learn to compensate for it, because my hats always end up too small), but tall. I put it on my head earlier and it looked like the strangest top hat ever. I'm hoping it will fit my little sis like the toboggan it's meant to be... though I may keep it and pin it to my hair at a rakish when I'm feeling especially silly. It could be the leper's bell of the hopeless, inoperable ridiculousness that fills my brain.

Speaking of ridiculous, I think I'm going to go check out Dr. Horrible's Sing-along blog (FINALLY). Then I shall sleep.

Discoveries....
Joe Van Moyland is Thomas Tallis on "The Tudors"
He is also the awkward brother in season 4, episode 1 of "Peep Show" (which I saw on the plane a few days ago).
He is also in Brothers of the Head, though not for long, I don't think.
He is ALSO Joe Lean. Of Joe Lean and The Jing Jang Jong, which is a band I happen to like.

OH! But yeah. In other news... I'm at York.
All is well.
Wooooo.

I might write in my blog tonight to chronicle my trip here and all. Maybe.

Current Location: dorm room in York!

"You can go to a drive-through and get half a sheep's head. With fries."
Have I ever mentioned that I must go to Iceland? Well, I must!!!
I'm so horridly obsessed with that place, it's getting out of hand. I think I may try to go next summer. I very much want to go to the music festival they have in October (Icelandairwaves. You can get air fare / hotel room / festival ticket packages for $625 (before tax). I mean, WTF? It's a four nights of music!!! For $625!!!
I'm so going, one day. Before that, though, I'm gonna go be a tourist with my mom next June (I hope).
GAH! Iceland!!!
Holy hell, what a strange and wonderful place it is.

OH! This was way too exciting for me (my life is boring, what can I say): I was watching House re-runs last week and Andrew (from Buffy) was on it! Or, rather, the guy who played Andrew. Tom Lenk. Playing a very similar character. *SQUEE* Yeah. I love him.
Oh! Sweet! We have the same birthday. Though he's 11 years older. Meaning he just turned 30. I love you, IMDB.
Oh, deary me. The internet is being so nice to me today. You must see This. Scroll down. (PS: He's only in undies! With a dust pan!)
