being an edwardian gentleman
It is what I do!
This springs from my obsession with the Edwardian era, and especially the Edwardian upper class, and with queer Edwardian men. One night I dressed up in a gloriously old-fashioned and male outfit (trousers, nice boots, Oxford shirt, and a waistcoat, all tailored for women) and then declared myself an Edwardian gentleman and cavorted about being rather fey and refined and... odd. It went on for a long while, and I got rather attached to the concept of acting / being an Edwardian gentleman.
coffee quest
An awesome old online adventure game involving a quest... for coffee. You can find it Here. Anyone who has woken up and been too tired to be able to deal with making tea or coffee in their kitchen might be able to relate to having to make it in a maze full of monsters.
evil butlers
This is related to two things. Firstly, the TV show "Manor House," which has a very intimidating butler figure. Larger, though, looms the figure of Simcox in the movie version of Maurice, because he is creepy and seems so dangerous, with all his insinuations. And so, evil butlers.
kenny the hall boy
Also a "Manor House" thing. Kenny is the hall boy. He is adorable.
ours
A band. I was really into them in the first couple years of high school. A good bit of screaming, but soothing. I still like them, though I don't listen to them nearly as much as I once did. Their lead singer was one of the formative figures on my path to adoration of the unhealthily skinny dark-haired boys contingent of the world.
toastcraft
The pursuit of the ultimate piece of toast. My number one hobby.
watching people rock out
One of my greatest joys. I love seeing people in their cars or out in public rocking out to music I cannot hear. Just last night I saw a dude with a pair of big headphones dancing towards the exit of the subway station. It made me SO happy, because whatever he was listening to, he was LOVING it. There is so much happiness in seeing other people enjoy their music, especially since it can lead to them doing silly things in public they otherwise might be too inhibited about. But close them in their headphones or their cars and they will do all sorts of stuff - I do it, too. Not that I am that inhibited about doing silly stuff when not wearing headphones.
