Right now I'm chipping away at the revision of a French paper in hopes of getting it done in time for dinner, and I just came across what I think is one of the best criticisms I've seen in a while:
"Poétique, mais ne marche pas en français."
(Poetic, but doesn't work in French)
that's kind of the story of my French work in a nutshell. I have big ideas and not enough knowledge of the language to express them. Ah, well. At least I'm poetic.

Weekend was nice. More on that later, maybe. I'm going to need some breaks tonight.
